- Jon Stewart returned to The Daily Show following a month-long hiatus to mock Donald Trump 's close relationship with White House aide Natalie Harp , questioning whether she can be trusted as the primary filter of information reaching Trump.
- Stewart utilised a new documentary trailer featuring Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes , superimposing Trump's face over comedian Nathan Fielder , to satirise the intense and unusual dynamic between Trump and his staff member.
- Harp, who has been dubbed Trump's "Human Printer" for supplying him with printed copies of favourable news coverage, reportedly declined security clearances despite having significant influence over the information fed into Trump's psyche.
- The segment also addressed recent reports detailing affectionate letters written by Harp to Trump, as well as new financial disclosures revealing Trump gave her a $45,000 cash holiday gift alongside her $150,000 government salary.
- A White House official defended the substantial monetary gift, stating that Trump has a longstanding practice of giving Christmas presents to aides and employees in both his private sector and government roles.
