Jon Bernthal’s Punisher returns in longest ever Marvel Disney + special

  • Jon Bernthal is reprising his role as Frank Castle, The Punisher, in an upcoming 60-minute Disney+ special.
  • This untitled special will be Marvel Studios' longest to date, exceeding previous special presentations like Werewolf By Night and Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special.
  • Bernthal co-wrote the special with director Reinaldo Marcus Green, promising a dark and authentic portrayal of the anti-hero, consistent with his Netflix appearances.
  • The project, filmed in New York City last summer, will continue Castle's narrative from his previous roles in Daredevil and The Punisher.
  • The special is anticipated to be released on Disney+ later this year, coinciding with Bernthal's theatrical debut as The Punisher in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
