JoJo Siwa has shared a cryptic video about being used to further someone else's career following her split from Avery Cyrus.
The former couple dated for three months before making the mutual decision that they were better off as friends, but things seem to have turned sour.
Nickelodeon star Jojo, 19, took to TikTok on Tuesday to share a clip in which she spoke about being used to "get to the top", with fans speculating that it's a thinly-veiled dig at her ex-girlfriend.
JoJo seemed to accuse 22-year-old Avery of trying to profit off her fame as she played out a break-up scenario in the video.
Captions flashed across the screen, with the first reading: "But I love you Why are you breaking up with me??!!!
"There's someone else?"
The responding caption read: "You told one of my best friends that you were excited to be dating me bc you're 'growing your career and wanna get to the top'...
"There's not someone else..."
Alongside her video, JoJo also ranted about the unnamed person becoming uninterested "because there was nothing to gain anymore".
"And when I said I just wanted to be friends so I didn’t lead you on after an unplanned hookup you wanted nothing to do with me because there was nothing to gain anymore," she wrote.
Fans flocked to the comments to share their thoughts on who the video was about.
"I basically think she’s saying Avery & her hooked up Avery wanted more Jo didn’t and basically Avery was using her for fame. Soooo idk just speculatin," one person wrote.
Another fan said: "I’m so sorry JoJo. You deserve better. You deserve something genuine. Not an SO with ulterior motives. Glad you’re standing up for yourself."
A third speculated: "Jojo broke up with Avery, they hu on the cruise, Jojo just wanted to be friends after the hu and Avery doesn’t want anything to do with Jojo suddenly."
The TikTok video comes after JoJo appeared in a video on her mum Jessalynn Siwa's Instagram Stories in which she ranted about being "used".
When asked why she was upset, the Dancing with the Stars alum said: "Because I got used, for views and for clout.
"I got tricked into being told I was in love and I got f***ing played."
Responding to Jojo's accusations, Avery told E! News : "From my perspective, me and JoJo left on great terms and are still friends.
"The relationship was very real, and I have nothing but love for JoJo and her family."
