Johnny Depp sparked dating rumours over the weekend when he was seen multiple times in Italy with a 'mystery woman'.
The 59-year-old Hollywood actor has been working on new music and film projects since winning his defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard.
The Pirates of the Caribbean star had fans wondering if he had found a new flame but it would seem that this relationship is "strictly professional" and there are no plans of a new romance.
It has been revealed that the auburn-haired woman he was seen with is his French teacher, who is helping him perfect the language ahead of playing King Louis XV in upcoming film, Jeanne du Barry.
With some believing that Johnny was in a new relationship, after he was seen with Mathilde at a concert, a source has told DailyMail.com: "She is his French teacher and there is no romantic connection whatsoever."
Mathilde is a Paris based assistant director and producer and appears to be helping Johnny ahead of his first film since the court victory over Amber.
On Sunday, Johnny and Mathilde were seen at the Umbria Jazz Festival in Perugia together, where the actor played a set with Jeff Beck, who he had joined on tour after court proceedings had finished.
The next day, the pair were seen arriving at Gardone Riviera for a performance at the Vittoriale.
Johnny is preparing for the role of King Louis XV in a true story about a seamstress' daughter who went on to become his final mistress.
He will star alongside Maiwenn Le Besco, who will both direct the film and play the main character, Jeanne du Barry, the king's mistress, with the film set to be released next year.
This will be Johnny's big comeback to the silver screen after many Hollywood producers turned their back on him following Amber's domestic violence allegations and the op ed she wrote for Washington Post, which was the focus of the defamation trial.
