Hollywood star Johnny Depp took to the stage in Manchester tonight for a different kind of performance. He joined British guitar legend Jeff Beck to sing at the O2 Apollo to the delight of the crowd.
This was the sixth time the Pirates of the Caribbean star has performed with Beck as part of his UK tour. Depp joined Beck for four songs, including Isolation, which they released in 2020, and for the encore a cover of The Beatles A Day in the Life .
Depp was mobbed by fans when he left the Lowry Hotel in Salford this afternoon, before travelling to the O2 Apollo. The 58-year-old has been spotted across the country in recent days, from sharing a pint in a pub in Newcastle with indie star Sam Fender to a Kent wildlife sanctuary.

It comes after the actor came out victorious against Amber Heard in his defamation trial.
Depp sued his ex-wife for $50 million (£38 million) over a 2018 op-ed she wrote in the Washington Post, about being a survivor of domestic abuse. He was awarded $15m which was later reduced by the judge to $10.35m.
Heard’s lawyer Elaine Bredehoft told US news show Today her client intended to appeal the case’s outcome.
