Johnny Depp has made a brief surprise appearance at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards.
The 59-year-old actor was not at the Prudential Center in person but still caught the attention of the millions of VMA viewers as he appeared virtually as the ceremony's famous Moon Person.
The Moon Person is a staple of the award ceremony and has been the official award mascot since the first edition of the show in 1984.
Shortly after hosts LL Cool J, Jack Harlow and Nicki Minaj were introduced to the stage, Depp appeared in an astronaut suit to kick off the show.
As the camera panned to the astronaut, Depp said in the pre-recorded video: "Hey, you know what? I needed the work.
"I just want you guys to know that I'm available for birthdays, bar mitzvahs, b'not mitzvahs, weddings, wakes; any old thing you need."
He then added: "Hey VMAs, let's get back to the f*****g music shall we?"
Johnny shared the video of his appearance as the Moon Person on Instagram to his 27.5 million followers with the caption: "Guess who? #VMAs."
Fans were quick to comment after seeing him on screen for the first time since his legal battle with ex Amber Heard in June, albeit virtually.
One fan wrote: "That’s amazing! Good to see you Johnny," followed by a red love heart emoji. Another follower replied: "JOHNNY YOURE SO COOL."
A third added: "THE BEST OF THE BEST."
Following a sensational six-week long trial, a jury ruled in favour of the actor in the Virginia court case with Ms Heard following weeks of testimony from both parties, friends of the pair, expert witnesses and even supermodel Kate Moss, a former partner of Depp.
Depp was awarded compensatory damages of $10million (£8million) and a further $5million (£4million) in punitive damages.
The Aquaman actress, 36, filed a countersuit against Depp, seeking almost £78million in damages after claiming his legal team falsely accused her of fabricating claims against the actor.
She was awarded compensatory damages of $2million (£1.6million) after proving one of her counterclaims to the jury.
