Johnny Depp is dating Joelle Rich - a lawyer who represented him in his UK libel lawsuit
Joelle, 38, was in the court for Depp's battle against The Sun which began in 2020.
But since they stopped working together when the trial finished, Us Weekly says their close relationship has turned to romance and the pair have become an item in recent months.
One source close to the pair told the magazine: “Their chemistry is off the charts. It’s serious between them. They are the real deal.”
Other outlets in the US including respected website TMZ also reported the romance last night.
Rich was one of the lawyers who worked on Depp’s case against the UK newspaper after he sued the outlet for libel in 2018, but she was not part of the legal team who represented him in his defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard earlier this year.
She was, however, present in the Virginia courtroom to show her “support” for the Oscar nominee.
“There was no professional obligation for her being there. It was personal,” a source added, claiming that the duo “discreetly” met up in hotels during the early stages of their romance.
London based lawyer Joelle is a married mother of two but understood to be separated from her husband for some time and is in the process of getting divorced.
Earlier this summer, Depp, 59, sparked romance rumours with another attorney, Camille Vasquez, who represented him in his US defamation trial against his ex-wife Amber Heard.
However, Vasquez quickly quieted the rumor mill, calling the allegations “sexist” and “unethical.”
“I care very deeply about my clients, and we have obviously become close,” she told People in June. “But when I say ‘we,’ I mean the entire team, and of course that includes Johnny.”
Vasquez noted that the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star had been her friend and client for four and a half years.
“It’s also an unethical charge being made. It’s sexist,” she added. “It’s unfortunate, and it’s disappointing, but at the same time, it kind of comes with the territory. I can’t say I was all that surprised.”
Depp has previously been in relationships with Winona Ryder, Kate Moss, and Vanessa Paradis. He then struck up a relationship with Heard soon after meeting her on the set of 2009's The Rum Diary film.
The pair married in 2015, but separated a little bit over a year later before officially divorcing in 2017. Since then they have been at war including courtroom battles which have exposed a volatile relationship.
