Chelsea favourite John Terry could be set to make a return to coaching in the Premier League. The former defender is currently part of the Blues' Under-18s coaching set-up after leaving Aston Villa in 2021.
Terry has been a name mentioned by supporters in recent weeks to make the jump to the first-team at Stamford Bridge following Graham Potter's exit. Frank Lampard was reinstated as interim head coach last week with Terry continuing his role at academy level and sending his old teammate a message of good luck.
Now, the 42-year-old is now set to make a return to the Premier League with Dean Smith. According to the Telegraph's John Percy, Smith is "close" to taking over at Leicester City for the remainder of the season with Terry and Craig Shakespeare expected to join him in the Midlands.

The trio worked together at Aston Villa from 2019 and 2021, helping the club return to the top flight and retaining their position in 2020 on the final day of the season.
Smith is said to be in advanced talks to replace Brendan Rodgers at the King Power Stadium after the Foxes' move with Jesse Marsch collapsed over the weekend. The deal would see Smith return to management for the first time after leaving Championship side Norwich City.
The appointment is yet to be confirmed, but if the deal is agreed, it would mean Terry would have to step down from his role in the youth set-up at Cobham.
