JOHN LUNDSTRAM has issued a 'stand up and be counted' rallying call to Rangers ahead of their all-or-nothing Old Firm clash at Parkhead.
Michael Beale's side extended their lengthy unbeaten Premiership run with a comfortable win over Dundee United on Saturday.
But Rangers still have it all to do if they are to haul themselves back into the title race and set up a grandstand finish to the domestic campaign.
The visitors must overcome a capacity home crowd if they are to see off Ange Postecoglou's side and win their first Old Firm fixture this season.
“Definitely,” Lundstram said when asked if Rangers need to stand up and be counted at Parkhead. “Of course we’ve gone there every time with that mindset and wanted to stand up and be counted.
“Sometimes games work out differently and sometimes it doesn’t really go the way you want it to.
“But hopefully we go there this week with a good game plan and manage to implement it on the day.
“If we go there and win of course things change. We need to go there and try to recoup some points.
“We’re going there to win and of course we need to. We’re going try to implement a game plan, of course we are. Let’s just see.
“Of course it helps to have the fans there but I wouldn’t say it’s daunting to us.
“Of course having the fans there for us would be great. It’s not to be, though.”
Rangers never looked like seeing their winning sequence under Beale come to an end as they eased to victory against Jim Goodwin's side.

Malik Tillman netted in either half to make sure of the points and Lundstram was satisfied with a job well done to keep the momentum ticking over once again.
Lundstram said: "I thought it was good. I thought we started well in the first 15 minutes, started with high energy.
"Maybe died off a bit after 20 minutes. It happens when you start that fast.
"Good performance. Got the goals and could have scored a couple more. Good performance all in all."
