The Baltimore Ravens drafted safety Kyle Hamilton with the No. 14 overall pick in the 2022 NFL draft. Now, entering his third season, Hamilton has established himself as one of the best (if not the best) safety options in the league, and he is precious to Baltimore’s defensive unit.
When discussing Hamilton’s impact, head coach John Harbaugh shared what stands out about the former Notre Dame star. He mentioned that it’s hard to pick just one thing, but Hamilton is already embracing his role as a respected leader on the team as he continues to grow into it.
“Man, how do you pick one thing with Kyle Hamilton, because he’s kind of the complete package? I think that’s probably what stands out the most. The thing that he and I have been talking about, from a vision standpoint, probably, as much as anything, is him embracing his position as a respected leader on the team. He’s in his third year. It doesn’t seem like very long; he just got here, right? But he’s an established star player in the league, and he’s most highly respected by everybody. So, he has already been growing into that leadership role, and I think he’s going to blossom even more going forward.”
Hamilton can line up all over the field for Baltimore, which expands his range of impact. His status in the league means he has earned much greater responsibilities both on and off the field, something he appears to be ready for.
