EastEnders star Shana Swash now has a "dream" normal job, years after she played one of the soap's most controversial characters.
The actress rocked up to Albert Square along with the Miller family back in 2004, where she played the role of Demi Miller.
She was involved in one of the most memorable storylines on the show as Demi gave birth aged just 13.
The character ran away with her boyfriend Leo Taylor and newborn baby Aleesha, where they ended up living in a squat.
Demi made the heartbreaking decision to hand over her daughter to Pauline Fowler and both Demi and Leo became heroin addicts, before Leo died in an overdose.
Her time on the soap came to an end in 2006 as Demi moved away from Walford.
She starred alongside her brother Joe Swash in the soap, who was crowned King Of The Jungle on his I'm A Celeb stint just two years later.
Whilst her brother carried on the celeb lifestyle, Shana opted to "get out her comfort zone" and try something new.
She now runs a pop-up coffee shop in Islington, London with her partner Nick Jones and says she "loves every minute of it".
Shana hopes to expand her business Swash & Jones after wanting to own a coffee shop for 20 years.
The soap star was just 13 when she took on the EastEnders role, but revealed she had to think long and hard about taking on the job.
“I had to be really grown up, sit down with my mum and work out if I could portray it and if it was something I wanted to do. I realised it was," she told The Sun.
Shana admitted she found her character's axing "difficult to accept as a kid", with viewers even setting up a petition to keep her on the show.
Regarding a comeback to Albert Square, she said: "Never say never but I’d need a really big bang storyline and for Demi to come back with a personality transplant and be a bit more horrible."
She says she would love to play a "nasty" role like Janine Butcher.
“If the timing was right... and my brother Joe was coming back with me, then 100 per cent I'd return to EastEnders.”
Even though she has her own coffee business, Shana is still acting - having had roles on Doctors, Top Boy and My Feral Heart, which bagged her a British Independent Film Awards Best Supporting Actress nomination.
She is also set to star in an upcoming film, Love Without Walls about a young married couple’s struggle after suddenly becoming homeless.
Joe made a brief return to EastEnders in 2011, when his character Mickey attended the wedding of little brother Darren, and has previously spoken about his desire to head back to Albert Square once again.
"I'd definitely be interested in returning to EastEnders. If they ever phoned up, it would definitely be something I would think about,” Joe told BANGShowbiz, before insisting that Mickey’s family would have to come back too.
"I think they need to bring back the whole family - the whole shabang - back, It would be nice to work with my sister Shana again."
