Known UFC fan and Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow pulled up at UFC 276 on Saturday night with a few friends.
Burrow, flanked by Jessie Bates and Chidobe Awuzie, got the full star treatment at the Octagon, even linking up with middleweight champion Izzy Adesanya and even got in the Octagon itself. Izzy went on to best Jared Cannonier in the main event by unanimous decision later that night.
The fact it was Bates with Burrow is something of a big deal. Burrow had talked about their upcoming trip to Las Vegas, which just so happens to be a few days before Bates’ July 15 deadline to either sign an extension or play next season on the franchise tag.
We’ll see if the trip with Burrow has any impact on Bates’ situation in the coming days and weeks. For now, we’ve just got some cool UFC content to check out:
The @Bengals are ready for a big night of fights 🐅👊
