Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, like many who have seen a training camp practice so far, is impressed with the team’s vast array of weapons.
Burrow confirmed as much during a recent NFL Network appearance.
“There’s a lot of young receivers that we’ve drafted over the last couple of years that are having big camps, that we’re going to count on a lot this year,” Burrow said. “This is the best and deepest tight end group since I’ve been here.”
Also tucked in there? Burrow confirmed that the offense will replace Tyler Boyd in the slot with a few different guys with varying skill sets.
Tight end Mike Geisick comes to mind. Andrei Ioisvas plays big like him, too. Names like Trenton Irwin and Charlie Jones are smaller, yet reliable. And that’s not to mention any running backs, like Chase Brown, who can line up there, too.
The only people not as thrilled with the outlook? Those Bengals coaches who have to make the difficult roster cuts decisions soon.
Sounds like @JoeyB has the most weapons to work with heading into Year 5 with the @bengals 👀 pic.twitter.com/AzJrUh4Txy
