Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has been fully cleared for contact and will see some preseason action this summer.
So said Bengals head coach Zac Taylor on Monday at the annual luncheon before training camp starts, according to Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic.
Based on Burrow’s work previously this summer, the clearance comes as no surprise. Even so, the Bengals will likely continue to take a precautionary approach, as will Burrow himself.
Consdiring Burrow has three preseason snaps over the course of his career, it’s hard to imagine he sees much action. But Bengals coaches have said that more preseason reps might be a way to counteract the recent poor starts to seasons, hence Taylor confirmed all starters will see some reps this year.
