The one Madden rating Cincinnati Bengals fans were anxiously waiting on has finally arrived.
Joe Burrow is a 90 overall.
That’s the official launch rating for the Bengals quarterback in “Madden NFL 23.”
A 90 puts Burrow fifth overall amongst quarterbacks behind only Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen. He’s ahead of notables like Justin Herbert (88) and Lamar Jackson (87).
Not only is it a very strong rating for Burrow, he’s got a lot of good things going for him on the digital field. His awareness is a 92, his throw power’s an 87, his throw under pressure is a 92 and his short and medium accuracy ratings are 97, while his deep accuracy is an 86. His throw on the run is also an 89.
Not bad at all for Burrow, especially after a ho-hum sort of ratings rollout for the Bengals as a whole. Ja’Marr Chase went underrated. DJ Reader wasn’t happy about his. Evan McPherson, meanwhile, got a great rating, as did Joe Mixon and Jessie Bates.
