Jobs data last piece in puzzle for Reserve Bank board

Economists will be closely watching unemployment figures and a handful of Reserve Bank appearances ahead of the central bank's crucial interest rate decision.

The countdown is on to the September 28-29 board meeting as anticipation ramps up that the Reserve Bank will hike rates for a fourth time this year.
