Joao Felix's transfer to Stamford Bridge has excited Chelsea fans despite the short-term loan deal offering little for his prospects at the club outside of this season. The 2019 Golden Boy was one of the most promising young players coming through when he took Europe by storm at Benfica.
His form earned him a big money move to Atletico Madrid that year but things haven't gone to plan in Spain. His relationship with pragmatic manager Diego Simeone has worsened and his development has been stunted. As a player capable of filling in across the front line but without a defined position, he does somewhat mirror Kai Havertz.
The German moved to SW6 one year after Felix went to Madrid and he has also struggled to assert himself in a new league under increased scrutiny. One of Graham Potter's biggest tasks will be finding a system that gets both players functioning together.
