New York Jets running back Braelon Allen was in a complimentary mood after scoring his team’s game-winning touchdown in Week 2.
The Jets (1-1) topped the Tennessee Titans (0-2) on the road for their first win of the season in a 24-17 final. Allen played a huge part.
After putting away a receiving touchdown, Allen doubled down. He put the final points on the board giving his team the victory, but Allen credited the 20-yard run to New York’s offensive line in front of him… and in a funny way.
“It just opened up,” Allen said. “Doesn’t get much easier than that one. My Nana could’ve probably scored on that one.”
Head coach Robert Saleh was confident in his guys in that moment, too.
No mention of family, though.
“I feel we can score every time we touch the ball,” Saleh said via video conference. “(Allen) is a great complement to Breece (Hall).”
