Jet2 has announced a huge update ahead of the busiest summer for UK departures since before the pandemic struck.
The tour operator has added thousands of extra holidays and flight seats to cope with surging summer demand from people wishing to soak up some sun. More services have been introduced on some of the airline's most popular routes.
These will link a number of UK airports to resorts in Spain, Turkey and Portugal. Extra flights have been added timed for the upcoming bank holidays in May, as well as the Platinum Jubilee long weekend in June, Wales Online reports.

The move comes after more flights and holidays were added to mainland Spain, the Canaries, the Balearics and Portugal (Faro) for Spring and Easter, along with extra flying to Tenerife between now and May and capacity increases to Madeira, Greece, Turkey, Croatia, Majorca, Ibiza, Santorini and Sardinia for Summer 22.
Since travel restrictions started to be eased at the beginning of the year, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have experienced strong and sustained demand. This demand has been boosted even further in recent weeks, following the removal of the passenger location form, and testing for unvaccinated customers.

Edinburgh:
- Dalaman – additional Tuesday services operating on April 26
- Majorca – additional Thursday services operating on April 28
East Midlands:
- Lanzarote – additional Monday services operating from May 2-16
- Antalya – additional Sunday services operating on May 1
- Faro (Algarve) – additional Tuesday services operating on April 26
Glasgow:
- Majorca – additional Wednesday services operating on April 27
- Alicante – additional Friday services operating from April 29 to June 10
- Tenerife – additional Monday services operating from May 2 to June 13
Newcastle:
- Lanzarote – additional Friday services operating on April 29
- Antalya – additional Thursday services operating on April 28
- Majorca – additional Wednesday services operating on April 27
- Tenerife – additional Saturday services operating on May 30
