Jesy Nelson has shared that she came close to having a boob job after a doctor said she "needed it".

The singer spoke out about her experience on Instagram, explaining how she was tempted to go through with the procedure during an insecure phase in her life.

Sharing a clip from Anna and Mandi Vakili’s Sisters In The City podcast, where the hosts discussed their experiences with cosmetic procedures.

Nelson wrote, “I absolutely adore these two for being so real about this s***. I was actually going to get a boob job two years ago because a doctor once told me I needed it.”

“It was a very insecure stage of my life and just wanted to feel loved,” she continued. “But I didn’t really know that about myself until I did real work on my inner self that I realised no boob job would fix that.”

“Anyway what I’m trying to say is I’m so thankful that I never got them done because I know I would have regretted it,” she added.

Nelson praised podcaster's Anna and Mandi Vakili on being candid about their cosmetic surgeries (Jesy Nelson/Instagram)

Nelson clarified: “I’m not against anyone having things done if it genuinely is going to make you happy and feel better because everybody needs to live their life how they want to.

“But please please, like these two are saying, really think about it because these things can’t be reversed and could cause you to feel worse about yourself. We are all born different for a reason and that’s f****** beautiful.”

In the podcast clip Nelson referenced, Mandi Vakili told listeners, “When you look on Instagram with the lighting and the poses and the angles, it looks like I’ve got the perfect body in some pictures.

But that’s not true because I’m not standing like unposed, naked, in front of you for you to see the issues, do you know what I mean?”

Vakili added, “The more surgery you get, the more surgery you’re going to need to fix and undo all them previous f****** surgeries.”

Host Anna Vakili chimed in: “It’s so sad guys, honestly we can’t explain it to you. If there’s any young girls watching this, really, really think hard before you go for surgery. Is it something you really, really, really need?”

Nelson’s revelation follows a cryptic post she shared on social media, which some fans speculated was related to former bandmate Perrie Edwards’ recent remarks on their friendship. Edwards suggested that she strurggled with the breakdown of their relationship.

Nelson left Little Mix in December 2020, citing constant pressure as the reason. She is n o longer in contact with her former bandmates Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, and Jade Thirlwall.
