Gabriel Jesus, Zinchenko: Arsenal injury news and return dates ahead of Europa League clash

Arsenal are flying in all competitions at present and come into the clash against Bodo/Glimt off the back of a huge win in the Premier League against Liverpool. The Gunners returned to the top of the table with the 3-2 victory against the Reds, but have been hit with some worrying injury news ahead of their Europa League fixture against the Norwegian outfit.

Mikel Arteta was able to rotate his side in the 3-0 win against Bodo/Glimt at the Emirates Stadium last week, and it is expected that the Spaniard will look to do the same once again on Thursday night. Arsenal can take a huge step towards securing qualification from Group A with a win away in Norway, but it won't be as easy as the home fixture against Bodo/Glimt.

With that said, football.london takes a look at the latest injury news and expected return dates for the Arsenal squad ahead of their European trip.

Gabriel Jesus

Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus was an injury concern during the Liverpool game, as he took a couple of big hits towards the end of the match. The main worry came as Kostas Tsimikas caught the Brazilian with a flailing arm, sending him to the ground quickly, though he carried on for a short while before being brought off.

While Arteta was unsure of whether Jesus would be able to be involved, reports have suggested that he will be available after the appropriate concussion checks.

Expected return date: Thursday, October 13 - Bodo/Glimt (A)

Oleksandr Zinchenko

Oleksandr Zinchenko missed Arsenal training last week and football.london understands the Ukraine international battled back from an issue surrounding his calf. He had missed the international break and has since missed clashes against Bodo/Glimt and Liverpool.

"He [Zinchenko] had another muscle injury, and let's see how it evolves in the next few days," the manager told Sky Sports on Sunday.

Expected return date: Unknown

Emile Smith Rowe

Arsenal youngster Emile Smith Rowe has struggled to get his season underway so far, suffering with injury from pre-season before making his return from the bench against Manchester United. That didn't last too long, though, with the winger struggling with another knock in the warm-down.

The England international has since undergone surgery which is set to keep him on the sidelines for an extended period, with no return date set as of this moment.

Expected return date: Unknown

Mohamed Elneny

Mohamed Elneny is suffering from a hamstring injury which he picked up against Fulham last month. It's likely to keep him out until roughly the new year, with Arteta describing the injury as 'long term'.

With a busy fixture schedule ahead, the Gunners will be keen to have the Egypt international involved once again, though there is no return date currently set for the midfielder.

Expected return date: Unknown
