Jessica Simpson isn't the only one in her household to have celebrity pals, thanks to her daughter's very famous BFF.
The Dukes of Hazzards star, 41, has revealed her daughter Maxwell, nine, has struck up a friendship with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West 's eldest child, North West.
Speaking in a new interview, the singer has explained how she lives close by to the SKIMS founder and her four children; North, eight, Saint, six, Chicago, four, and Psalm, two.
Describing living in the same neighbourhood as the aspiring lawyer as "fun", the mum-of-three revealed her youngest made pals with North thanks to the two young children playing on a basketball team coached by her husband, former NFL tight end Eric Johnson.
"One of Maxwell's best friends is North," Jessica told American publication US Weekly.
Singing North's praises, the With You hitmaker added: "She is amazing. She is a great kid, and she will be a part of a change in this world."
Years before Kim, 41, and her family become household names, Jessica was one of the early reality TV stars - thanks to MTV cameras documenting her early married life with now ex-husband Nick Lachey.
Speaking about her show 'Newlyweds', which ran from 2003-2005, Jessica confessed the filming conditions could be tough.
"I don't think that reality shows are set up like that nowadays. I think they have shooting days and that type of thing," she mused in her latest interview.
The Open Book author went on to praise pal Kim and the rest of the Kar-Jenner clan for their longevity in the reality TV world.
"I'm like, 'I don't know how y'all could do this all the time. I could only last three seasons [on 'Newlyweds'], but they're so open and they've always remained the same," Jessica declared when discussing the famous family.
"That's really hard to do, and they're powerhouses."
Jessica's chat about Kim and Kanye's children comes just days after the mum-of-four admitted things are strained with her estranged husband.
Opening up about their current relationship during Tuesday's episode of Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast with Amanda Hirsch, Kim confessed she currently isn't speaking with her soon-to-be ex-husband.
"Right now it's good when things are calm, we don't really communicate, but I think that's okay sometimes," the reality TV legend shared while promoting her new Hulu series, The Kardashians.
"We will. We always will. That's just who I am."
Kim went on to confess she will always have "so much love" for her former partner, despite their current situation.
"I spent a decade of my life with this person, and I just have so much love for him. So that'll never change, but it doesn't mean that they're the right one for you and that's okay too," the star added during her chat with Amanda.
