Jesse Marsch urges Leeds United to block out the noise in Premier League relegation battle

Leeds United head coach Jesse Marsch has revealed he has told his squad to block out the surrounding noise in order to help them maintain their status in the Premier League. The Whites currently sit just outside the relegation zone above in 17th place following Burnley's dramatic 2-1 come from behind win over Watford.

With Norwich now relegated and Watford's relegation all but confirmed, the final spot looks set to be filled by one of Burnley, Everton or Leeds. Leeds have enjoyed a strong run of form of late and will be hoping to carry the spirit of those performances into the final few weeks of the Premier League season.

And speaking in the build-up ahead of Leeds United's Saturday night clash against Manchester City, Marsch revealed the message he has given to his players in an effort to secure their Premier League status for next season.

"We’ve been very clear for the entire time I’ve been here that we’re in control of our own destiny," Said Marsch.

"That we have to focus on us, that we have to stop focusing on what’s happening around and know that the more we take care of our business, the better chance we have."
