Jess Wright has revealed her baby boy had to be delivered by emergency Caesarean section after he became less active.
The former The Only Way Is Essex star confirmed she gave birth five days before her due date and was originally "intent" on having a natural birth.
The 36-year-old reality star had her hubby, 39-year-old businessman William Lee-Kemp, and Loose Women panellist mother Carol Wright by her side throughout the ordeal.
Jess explained how baby boy Presley was delivered by Caesarean section at London’s Portland Hospital on May 17, after she had noticed his movements had lessened.
Speaking to Hello! magazine, she said: "In those last few weeks he had been so active and then, all of sudden, it completely dropped, which was very scary, so our doctor told us to come straight to hospital."
After medics tried to induce the birth for 48 hours, Jess explained how they found his heart rate to be dropping.
She said they thought it might have been caused by him being in an awkward position so took the decision to get him out quickly via C-section.
She continued: "I had been so intent on having a natural birth and to go through that experience as I’d done all the hypnobirthing, but I had a sense of ‘this is our destiny, this is how it is supposed to happen’, and we accepted it, and then got excited that it was happening so quickly."
She bravely admitted she felt the need to be "strong and positive" rather than to panic and labelled it "incredible, surreal and overwhelming".
The star went on to reveal the child's sweet name was something the couple had chosen months earlier.
She admitted to falling in love with the name when she was just eight weeks pregnant and felt nothing else suited him as well.
She also admitted the pair love their child's middle name, Stone and said becoming a mum was "amazing".
“It is such an intense, crazy time having your first child and not knowing what to expect," she added. "We are learning more every day."
And she also gushed over brother Mark's love for being an uncle, but confessed his actress wife Michelle Keegan is yet to meet the tot as she's currently filming in Australia.
Jess first announced she was expecting in November after tying the knot with her man in Majorca in September.
The pair married in a lavish ceremony on the popular Spanish island before partying in a poolside reception.
