Jermaine Beckford believes Leeds United will be 'disappointed' with recent Premier League results that has resulted in the Whites slipping into the bottom three. Jesse Marsch's side are in action against Chelsea at Elland Road this evening, where a victory would see United climb out of the relegation zone.
With Everton and Burnley both picking up vital victories last weekend, Leeds were of course beaten by Arsenal at the Emirates, with Luke Ayling dismissed for a straight red card. Beckford who spoke to Sky Sports prior to kick-off believes recent results will have knocked the side's confidence, who must now do all they can do to stave off a return to England's second-tier this season.
"They will be approaching this game extremely frustrated," began the 38-year-old former United striker earlier this evening. "The run that Burnley and Everton have found themselves in over recent weeks has been really good for those clubs in particular.

"There was a point from a Leeds perspective that everything was home and dry and one more win would have been enough to secure their safety, but with results going the other way against Manchester City and Arsenal, it does add that pressure to the club as well.
"It is difficult, it is annoying, it’s frustrating, but I am sure Jesse Marsch has given everything in terms of boosting the players' confidence and improving them individually and getting the best out of them and I am hoping to see a better and much-improved performance tonight than what we saw against Arsenal. "
