Prime Video has teased a first-look at Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May as they prepare to head out for one last hurrah in The Grand Tour: One For The Road.
Fans were left devastated when it was revealed last year that the trio are bowing out after eight years.
The popular motoring show, which launched on Prime Video in 2016, quickly became one of the streamer’s biggest hits.
The series sees them travel to far-flung places to complete automobile-related challenges similar to those they did in the Top Gear specials for the BBC back in the noughties.
Their latest adventure is set to drop on Prime Video globally on September 13.
According to an official synopsis: “Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May ignore the instructions of Mr Wilman and head to Zimbabwe in three cars they’ve always wanted to own, a Lancia Montecarlo, a Ford Capri 3-litre, and a Triumph Stag, for a stunning road trip through beautiful and sometimes challenging landscapes leading to an emotional ending on a strangely familiar island.
Despite the trio’s departure, the series may not necessarily end completely with show bosses considering continuing the series further down the line with new hosts.A TV insider also told The Sun: “It’s a surprising decision and everyone realises it very much marks the end of an era for the three presenters.
“The Grand Tour is one of Prime Video’s most watched shows and Jeremy, James and Richard have a devoted following.”
