Jeremy Clarkson has released a statement saying he is "horrified to have caused so much hurt" following the backlash surrounding his comments about Meghan Markle.
The former Top Gear presenter, 62, said in a column for The Sun that he “hated” the Duchess of Sussex and said he dreamed of her being paraded through British towns and publicly shamed.
Now he has said he will "be more careful in future" after the piece attracted criticism from high-profile figures including Nicola Sturgeon and even his own daughter.
