TV presenter Jeremy Clarkson has allegedly been dropped by Amazon Prime after issuing an apology to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex over a column he wrote in the Sun newspaper.
In the opinion piece, Clarkson remarked that he "hated" Meghan alongside some other negative comments that were widely criticised. In a lengthy statement which he posted to his Instagram account today, the Grand Tour presenter said he reached out to the couple on Christmas Day to say his language was "disgraceful" and he was "profoundly sorry".
It comes as reports from Variety allege that Amazon Prime has chosen to part ways with Clarkson over the backlash. According to the American site, sources told them that Clarkson won't be working with Amazon Prime outside of seasons of The Grand Tour and Clarkson's Farms which have already been commissioned.
