Jenny Ryan forced to apologise to The Chase player during show

The Chase's Jenny Ryan was forced to apologise as she was introduced to a player during Thursday's instalment of the popular quiz show.

Bradley Walsh once again welcomed four strangers to the ITV studio, to work together as a team in the hopes of outwitting a Chaser. They were Chris from Gloucester, Jan from Sheffield, Maya from Llandysul and Anthony from Manchester.

Chris was up first, making it back to the table with £6,000 after avoiding being caught by the Vixen.

Sadly for Jan, she was caught and left empty-handed. Next up was Maya, who admitted a love of music, and said she was a keen trumpet player.

After her cash-builder, Jenny welcomed her, saying: "Well hello musical Maya", before Bradley jumped in with: "I knew you were going to say that! I knew you were going to say 'musical Maya'".

Jenny replied: "I do love an alliteration, Brad". After Maya was caught by the Chaser, Anthony was introduced to viewers at home.

He explained he was a cloud structure engineer, meaning he works in IT. He said he also plays football in his spare time and has a lot of DIY projects he needs to do. Welcoming him to the podium, Jenny said: "Hello, IT Anthony".

Both Anthony and Bradley let out a groan. Jenny said: "[The nickname] is usually something that you've talked about in your chat, but I couldn't really come up with anything better than that. Sorry".

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV and the ITV Hub
