The star, 53, sported the look in Beverly Hills this weekend as the pair grabbed a bite to eat together.
They smiled as they looked to be enjoying their afternoon before the 16-year-old was allowed to drive the singer's Toyota SUV as she got some vital practice in behind the wheel.
Wearing a loose-fitting white trousers and t-shirt, Jen's sunglasses and hooped ear-rings drew attention to her new do.
Holding a brown Dior bag and a green drinks holder, she took some time out with her oldest stepdaughter.
Ben shares three children with ex-wife Jennifer Garner; Violet, Seraphina, 13, and Samuel, 10, while J-Lo has adorable twins Emme and Max, 13, with Marc Anthony.
They all seem very close already - and earlier this month Jennifer revealed that their combined five children had a special role on their big day.
But they are said to be 'past' the part in their lives where they want more kids.
JLo gave fans another insight to her August wedding in her newsletter.
She said that her and husband Ben, 50, children walked down the aisle before Jennifer before playing a sweet role for the rest of the event.
She wrote: "We weren’t only marrying one another; we were marrying these children into a new family.
“They were the only people we asked to stand up for us in our wedding party. To our great honour and joy, each one did.”
he also revealed that her new husband read of her "favourite lines" from a movie that he had directed.
Ben delivered the line, from his 2016 film Live by Night: "This is heaven. Right Here. We’re in it now."
But a source told HollywoodLife that they aren't planning to have kids together.
An insider said: "They do not want any new children – they are both past that part in their lives.
"J-Lo's connection with his kids makes Ben even more certain that this is fate," the insider added.
"They are really trying to make this a blended family and Jennifer Garner finds this to be amazing. She doesn’t mind at all when the kids go over to spend time with their father and J-Lo because it gives her some alone time too, which is so rare for her."
