While the San Francisco 49ers prepare for the Kansas City Chiefs and the upcoming Super Bowl, Jed York sat down with Fanduel TV’s Kay Adams on her show “Up & Adams.” During his appearance, the 49ers CEO shared praise for wide receiver Deebo Samuel.
While talking about Samuel, York revealed an exchange between the star pass catcher and 49ers general manager John Lynch from halftime of the NFC Championship against the Detroit Lions.
I love Deebo. He’s awesome. He’s very raw, he’s very, very to the point. I don’t know if you know, but [John] Lynch went down to the locker room at halftime. Hence, halftime, right? You’re down by 17 points. And he said Deebo was just sitting there just shaking. He said, ‘Just tell Kyle to get me the damn ball.’ and that’s who Deebo is. He’s just ready to take over a game at any point. I’m very, very glad he’s on our football squad.
