As student and cost-of-living protests in France enter their fifth week, JD Vance has taken to social media to react to the footage of a burning town hall in Limoges. The vice president blamed the chaos on immigration and warned Americans that Democrats want the same for the United States.
Posting on X, Vance wrote, “Western liberals imported the third world into France and other countries in the name of diversity and compassion.” The tweet was in response to a viral video of the town hall of Limoges, set on fire by rioters on October 17. In the footage, the central campanile collapses as the fire engulfs the building. “I pray that France, a beautiful country of amazing people, will stop this madness before more of its landmarks burn,” Vance added.
