JD Sports cyber attack update as firm warns customers to 'be vigilant'

JD Sports warned customers to remain vigilant after it was hit by a cyber attack.

The sporting goods retailer fell victim to an attack which saw unauthorised access to customer data relating to some online orders placed between November 2018 and October 2020.

JD Sports confirmed in a statement to the London Stock Exchange that the accessed data was "limited." They added they do not store customers' full payment card details and "has no reason to believe that account passwords were accessed."
