Jaylen Brown on why he wanted his Bridge program students at his supermax extension signing

When star Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown signed his historic, $304 million supermax contract extension last week, Celtics President of Basketball Operations Brad Stevens, lead team governor Wyc Grousbeck and co-owner Steve Pagliuca were present along with friends and family.

But one special group of guests caught the attention of all who were there: the camp participants of Brown’s Bridge program for local Black and brown students at MIT. The Celtics star made a point of having them included in his inking of the NBA-record contract extension, and he recently put together a short with the team to explain why that was.
