Jasprit Bumrah may play T20Is vs Ireland

MUMBAI: Ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah, who has been out of action since September last year due to a serious back injury, is now fit and could return to international cricket in the three-match T20I series in Ireland (Aug 18-23) next month.

Bumrah was picked for the home ODI series against New Zealand, but was then rested after experiencing back pain again. The BCCI is treading cautiously this time and wants him to play a few practice games at the National Cricket Academy before pronouncing him fit for a return to international cricket.
