SYDNEY: Jasprit Bumrah's massive workload in this series finally caught up with him on Saturday. The stand-in captain left the field after lunch and played no further part in the proceedings on Day Two. Broadcast footage later showed Bumrah getting into a car along with the team's security liaison officer and the team doctor.
"He had a back spasm. He had gone for scans. The medical team is monitoring him. So, we will know (his fitness status) whenever the medical team gets back to us," pacer Prasidh Krishna said after the day's play.
