Lions quarterback Jared Goff has revived his career in Detroit, nearly taking the team to their first Super Bowl last season. His play has been recognized by his peers as he cracked the top 50 of this year’s NFL Top 100 Players list.
Goff checked in at No. 48 following a season that saw him throw for 4,575 yards and 30 touchdowns with 12 interceptions. Goff was second only two Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (4,624) in passing yards and was one of only four quarterbacks to throw for 30 touchdowns (Dak Prescott, Jordan Love, Brock Purdy).
Goff moved up 17 spots from last season’s list, where he came in at No. 66. Just two years ago, Goff didn’t even make the 2022 list. Now, he’s considered a top 50 players in the league by the rest of the players. Not bad for a quarterback who was basically told he wasn’t good enough in Los Angeles and had his former team give two first-round picks just to land Matthew Stafford as well as take on Goff’s contract. Now, Goff has the Lions in a Super Bowl window.
