Janey Godley shared an update to fans on the status of her cancer treatment as she is set to begin chemotherapy.
The Glasgow comedian was diagnosed with ovarian cancer last year, and after undergoing a hysterectomy procedure in January was informed that it had reached stage three — meaning it has spread beyond her ovaries and will require further treatment.
On Monday, Godley posted on Twitter informing her followers that her chemotherapy will begin today (February 1).

After sharing the tweet, Godley's fans rushed to offer their support.
One wrote: "You’re doing great and you’re being treated and cared for by the greatest organisation in the world. God bless the NHS."
