Jane McDonald revealed she 'has more good days than bad' a year after losing her beloved fiancé Eddie Rothe.
The 59-year-old's husband-to-be tragically lost his life to lung cancer back in April 2021.
It has been a hard year for songstress Jane, but as she opened up about the loss in a new interview, she explained she is slowly having more 'good days'.
The former Loose Women panelist made an appearance on the show on Tuesday and told her pals how she has been able to 'let the light' back into her life following her heartbreak.
"I'm doing so much better and you realise just how important your family and your friends are," Jane admitted.
"And I have more good days now than bad days. And I relish those now. I was very lucky as well. I've always had a very busy life without a partner. So I've been able to just carry on and my fans were just incredible.
"They got me through so much over the tour. So I'm very grateful," she added.
Jane said she had been a 'mess' in her first concert since Eddie's death but thanked fans for helping her through it.
Eddie was 67 when he died and Jane heartbreakingly revealed his death 'took our future.'
Lung cancer is the third most common cancer and the leading cause of cancer deaths in the UK. Having a cough for three weeks or more could be a warning sign of lung cancer, so getting it checked out by a professional is important.
Speaking to Kaye Adams on her How To Be 60 podcast about how the following months following his death, she said: "I can talk about him now and just feel great that I had that amazing time with him.
"And it's funny, we should talk about retiring because he retired at 59. And said, I promise you when you get to this age, you'll see a difference. And I have. So we had lots of plans.
"And I think that's part of grief as well is that you go through the normal grief and the terrible, terrible time and then you grieve the life that you thought you were going to have."

Jane said she has to come to terms with adjusting to a different life.
"When he died, he took our future," she said.
"So I think that is, I've got to have a different life now. And that's taken a bit of adjusting to, but I'll get there. Because that's what do, we get there."
Jane first met the rocker, who was the drummer in The Searchers, at a club in Wakefield back in 1980, and they embarked on a teenage romance, as Jane was just 17 at the time.
However, they parted ways after a few months of dating, and didn’t see each other again until they were reunited in 2008, and they quickly struck up a relationship.
During the same year, Eddie got down on one knee.
