Jamie Webster has cancelled the Paris show of his European tour after the 'horrific' treatment of Liverpool fans at the Champions League Final.
The singer-songwriter took to Twitter and Instagram to update his fans after he made the decision to cancel his gig , which was due to take place on August 11 at Supersonic. The 28-year-old said he cancelled the show as he "couldn't guarantee" the safety of himself and his crew.
Posting on Twitter tonight, Jamie said: "EU Tour Update. Due to the horrific experience that me and so many others endured in Paris & the lies told in the aftermath by the French Government, I have decided to cancel the Paris gig of my upcoming European tour.

"I don't want to take myself and my crew back to a place where our safety isn't guaranteed and to a place where the Government spread lies & blame about and upon my people. Sorry to anyone who was looking forward to coming to the show.
"Hopefully see you somewhere else soon."
Jamie spoke openly about his own experiences in Paris back in May after finishing his performance in the fan zone. He said: "It was something that I’ve never experienced going the match as a kid, it’s something I’d never seen before and, because we were in a moment of madness, I don’t think you quite processed what you’d seen, we were just trying to get out of it."
After the game he said it was like a 'war zone' and he knew people who were 'slashed'. He said: "I hope people who did suffer that day are managing to get over what they’ve seen, what they’ve witnessed, and any physical harm.
"It’s horrible that it happened, it shouldn’t have happened."
