Jamie Dornan paid a visit to the "best pub on the planet" while in New York this week.
The Dead Rabbit, opened by Ardoyne men Sean Muldoon and Jack McGarry in 2013, is no stranger to celebrities stopping by for a pint or cocktail, especially after winning the 'World's Best Bar' award multiple times.
But the team were starstruck when Holywood heartthrob Jamie Dornan stopped by while in the city promoting his new movie 'Belfast.'
He visited the bar before it opened its doors on Tuesday, January 25, with the team behind NBC's Today Show for an interview about his career.
Later that day, however, Jamie popped by for an Irish coffee with Dublin singer Dermot Kennedy and the pair posed outside for a photo.
In a post on his Instagram story from Tuesday, Jamie called The Dead Rabbit the "best pub on the planet".
Taking to social media, the team behind The Dead Rabbit said: "Don’t look now but there’s a guy sitting at the bar who’s the image of… wait, it is him! It’s Jamie Dornan.
"Jamie was here on Tuesday being interviewed for NBC’s TODAY Show about his career – and of course, his starring role in the new movie Belfast.
"The interview took place before we opened for the day, but Jamie actually came back later with, ahem, Dermot Kennedy no less, to help us celebrate National Irish Coffee Day and hear the seisiún. During the interview, which is being shown here in the States on Sunday, Jamie was nice enough to call the Dead Rabbit the best pub on the planet.
"We always liked him, you know. So perceptive. Lads, you’re both welcome back any time."
