Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher reckons Leeds United's second-half performance in their 2-1 loss against Arsenal should give them hope heading into their midweek clash against Chelsea. Trailing 2-0 and down to 10 men following Luke Ayling's sending off, Leeds put in a battling display in the second half that saw them claw a goal back through Diego Llorente.
While it was not enough to secure them a point, it was a performance that displayed some level of fight and determination that could give Leeds fans hope heading into the final three games of the season. Everton's win over Leicester means the Whites now sit in 18th place, with Burnley sitting level on points with Marsch's side and are above them by virtue of a better goal difference.
And Carragher believes Leeds' performance against Arsenal was similar to that of Everton's against Liverpool last month, which saw the Blues lose in a battling display that offered some hope for the remainder of their campaign.
