Footballer Jamie Allen is one of four new bombshells to enter the Love Island villa, with less than two weeks to go until the final.
He’s joined in the villa by fellow new arrivals Reece Ford, Lacey Edwards, and Nathalia Campos, who have just days to turn heads and win hearts.
But the stakes are high for Jamie, 27, as he left his football club in the lurch to join the ITV dating show.
Just weeks after signing a new contract, and less than three weeks before the new season is set to start, Jamie left training to find love in the villa.
But what does his football club have to say about his decision?
Which football team does Jamie Allen play for?
Jamie plays for FC Halifax Town, where he plays as a forward, and has been with the club since 2019. Healso plays for Montserrat internationally.
Born in Preston, Jamie began his career at Fleetwood Town in 2012. He played for Barrow & AFC Fylde before joining Stalybridge Celtic in 2015.
The footballer then moved to Southport, then Dover Athletic in 2017, before joining Halifax Town in 2019. He’s in his fourth season with the Shaymen.
According to The Athletic, he played in 24 National League matches last season and scored one goal.

What has FC Halifax Town said about Jamie joining Love Island?
The club said in a statement on Twitter: “Jamie Allen has decided to join the cast of Love Island 2022, making his intentions clear that the opportunity is very important to him. The matter will be reviewed on his return.”
When does Love Island finish?
It’s all change in the villa ahead of the final, as before welcoming the four new bombshells, the islanders had to say goodbye to Billy and Summer, who alongside Dami and Danica, received the fewest votes from the public.
Love Island is expected to finish in just under two weeks, with the final likely taking place on August 1. That means Jamie, Reece, Lacey, and Nathalia have to move quickly if they want to make a connection–and maybe even win that £50,000.
