James Taylor Rangers situation clarified after administrative reshuffle

Companies House documents this morning stated James Taylor's position as secretary at Rangers had been terminated.

However, the Ibrox employee has not left his role as chief finance officer at the club.

Rather, the secretary switch is only indicative of an administrative reshuffle and not of seismic change in Taylor's post at Rangers.

Taylor had been carrying out secretary duties alongside his finance role but has not stepped down from the administrative position in a behind-the-scenes switch-up.

Football legal counsel Graham Horsman has been appointed as the new company secretary in the shuffle in the office.

Horsman has worked in his legal role at Rangers since January this year and will not take on secretarial duties as Taylor did in previous months.

Neither club official have had changes to their primary roles at the club.

Confirmation of the background office shuffle was published on Friday, November 8 after papers were filled to Companies House.

A short public PDF file reads: "The Company confirms that the person named has consented to act as secretary", alongside details of the dates in the process.

A second Companies House update on Friday confirmed James Taylor's departure as secretary.

The termination of Creag Robertson's role as a director at Rangers was also confirmed on Friday morning.

The former director of football operations quit his Ibrox post after just 18 months in the job.

Th Rangers Review previously reported that the decision is Robertson’s with sources insisting it is not a case of the former head of business and education jumping before being pushed.
