James Martin under fire as complaints made over food served to children on Saturday Morning

James Martin has come under fire from ITV Saturday Morning viewers over food he served to children. The ITV chef was back on the show on Saturday, March 25 - and he was joined by a group of youngsters promoting the Eat Them to Defeat Them campaign.

James welcomed a trio of kids onto the show to promote the campaign, which hopes to get children eating more vegetables, but fans of the show took issue with the way the food was being served. James made eight different vegetable dishes for the guests to tuck into.

But fans on social media were concerned after James took the food straight from a sizzling pan onto a plate for them to eat. The kids were seen blowing on the food to cool it down, Birmingham Live reports.

“Perhaps let it cool down first, poor kids look like they are burning their mouths!!!” JM wrote. Another commented: “Watching #jamesmartin those kids how the didn’t burn their mouths. Looks so hot.”

Jon said: “Maybe a couple of cold dishes to cool those poor kids' mouths down.” Another wrote: “These kids awkwardly trying to eat the red hot vegetables without complaining."
