James Garner is reported to be hopeful of establishing a place in the Manchester United first team next season - and has now been compared to one of the club's greats.
The 20-year-old has excelled his second loan spell with Nottingham Forest, helping the Reds to turn their fortunes around under Steve Cooper.
During last month's transfer window, the Red Devils even discussed the possibility of recalling him but it was later decided the youngster would benefit more from regular game time.
Following his most recent appearance for in the FA Cup fourth round win over Leicester City, he caught the eye of many, including for Man City ace Trevor Sinclair.
Sinclair hailed Garner's set piece delivery for Forest and drew comparisons with United legend David Beckham.
"James Garner's deliveries remind me of David Beckham's," he told talkSPORT.
"He’s got that dip and that whip and it causes so many problems. The pace on the ball, he’s putting it on a sixpence every time.
"The advantage is with the attackers because they know where he’s aiming depending on what signal he puts up. It’s an absolutely phenomenal cross that he’s got in the locker."
Garner is set to be back in action for Forest against Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park in the Championship on Wednesday night.
