James Corden and his wife dressed to impress at the Met Gala as they enjoy their last few days in the US.
The couple are going back to Blighty after James' eight year run as the host of the Late Late Show, where he's interviewed a whole host of A-listers.
The Gavin & Stacey star, 44, has admitted it will be 'vey strange' being back in Britain after living it up in Hollywood. However, he and Julia glammed it up and soaked up their last dose of American showbiz glamour last night.
Rocking the red carpet in New York, James looked dapper sporting a sky blue blazer and black bow tie.
Meanwhile, his wife shimmered in a strapless, diamond encrusted frock with matching shoes.
James is heading home this week after apparently turning down an eight-figure sum to stay hosting the popular US chat show.
He revealed he was stepping down to spend more time with his family – but admitted he has no new job lined up.
Speaking about his plans, he said: "There are people at home who are getting older.
"And we really felt that during Covid, there were a couple of health things that came along that made us just feel like… there were too many signs telling us to go home."
The Fat Friends star has previously said he was returning to Britain with Julia and their children Max, 11, Carey, eight, and five-year-old Charlotte to focus on family life.
But on US radio show Sirius FM, he also said he wants to spend more time with his parents, Malcolm and Margaret.
James explained: "If I allow myself to think about the financial aspects of walking away, it makes my chest tight – because who would? But the truth is, it is time with my parents. [It’s being] able to call my dad on a Thursday and go, 'You want to go for lunch?'"
The actor has enjoyed stellar success in the states, but it hasn't all been a breeze.
Last year James found himself in hot water after being banned from Balthazar restaurant in New York when he was reportedly rude to the staff.
The presenter was accused of "yelling like crazy" after his wife received an omelette with "a little bit of egg white mixed with the egg yolk".
Addressing the incident on his show, James claimed Julia had been given food she was allergic to, musing: "Because I didn't shout or scream, I didn't get up out of my seat, I didn't call anyone names or use derogatory language, I have been walking around thinking that I've not done anything wrong."
