The league announced its Rookie of the Year award winner, Orlando Magic forward Paolo Banchero.
Oklahoma City Thunder wing Jalen Williams finished in second place despite making a strong late push. Williams finished with 75 second-place votes and 16 third-place votes for a 241 points. Banchero had 494 points.

Williams was named a finalist for the award along with Utah Jazz center Walker Kessler.
In 75 games, Williams averaged 14.1 points on 52.1% shooting, 4.5 rebounds and 3.3 assists. He shot 35.6% from 3 on 2.7 attempts.
The Thunder end their award campaign by finishing runner-up for Most Improved Player of the Year (Shai Gilgeous-Alexander), Coach of the Year (Mark Daigneault) and Rookie of the Year (Williams).
