Jalen Ramsey played through sprains in both shoulders in the second half of last season. He attempted to let the injuries heal on their own this offseason, but after he wasn’t making as much progress as he and the team hoped, they opted for surgery.
Ramsey had surgery on his left shoulder in June and has been working his way back ever since. He’s been participating in practice and was even on the field against the Bengals for their joint practices, though he did say he’s still not using some techniques he usually does.
Sean McVay said on Friday that Ramsey looks good on the field and is feeling good, so he’ll be ready to go against the Bills.
“He’s feeling good. He sure looks damn good out here,” McVay said. “He’s feeling good and he’s gonna be ready to roll on the 8th.”
The Rams need Ramsey to be healthy all season because he’s unquestionably one of their most important players. He’s the leader in the secondary and without him, the cornerback group looks considerably weaker.
If he played as well as he did while injured last year, he should be in for another All-Pro this season if healthy.
