Jake Paul 's promotional company has confirmed he will be an underdog for his next fight as the YouTube star returns to the ring in October.
Paul, 25, was scheduled to fight for the first time this year on August 6 but his fights against Love Island star Tommy Fury and short-notice replacement Hasim Rahman Jr fell through. Fury was denied entry to the United States before Paul eventually moved on from the fight and chose Rahman Jr as a replacement, but that fight was scratched because of a row over the weight limit.
Competing in his sixth professional fight next month, Paul has not named his opponent but said they would have a professional record and the fight would be held at 185lb. Paul's label Most Valuable Promotions wrote of his next fight: "Next week we will announce Jake Paul’s next opponent. [He] will almost certainly be the underdog. He knows that and he wants that."

Paul has weighed 190lb for most of his previous fights but sees a future at the light-heavyweight limit of 175lb. Last weekend he tweeted of his next fight: "Just got the call. Massive opponent announcement this week. October." The fight will mark the first professional boxer Paul has fought so far, having previously faced YouTuber AnEsonGib, former NBA star Nate Robinson and now-retired MMA champions Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley.
'The Problem Child' has been mocked for not facing an opponent with a professional record, with bitter YouTube rival KSI achieving that feat by knocking out a boxer in just his third professional fight. KSI stopped rapper Swarmz in two rounds on Saturday night and returned to the ring hours later to drop journeyman Luis Alcarez Pineda seven times before the fight was stopped in the third round.
Paul and KSI have now agreed to a winner-takes-all fight next year after the Brit suggested it on social media, tweeting to Paul: "I'm going to send you a contract. We fight next year. Wembley Stadium. Winner of the fight takes all. 100 per cent of the purse will be on the line. Put your money where your mouth is and let’s finally end this. Will you accept Jake Paul?"
Before he is to think about a fight with 'The Nightmare', Paul will have to concentrate on extending his unbeaten run to six fights in his next bout. Paul has knocked out every professional opponent he's faced so far and has been a betting favourite for all of his fights, but the bookmakers will seemingly be in favour of his opponent in October.
